We Stand By Our Listings

Artviewings seeks to reassure all customers that the items they’re purchasing meet the highest marketplace standards. To do that, we set industry-leading standards, and we require our sellers (artists and gallery partners) to abide by those standards. Our team of in-house experts proactively audits inventory to ensure accurate representation. If a seller fails to meet our standards, we promptly address the matter. We try to resolve any issues through communication, coaching, and follow-up as needed, but if they are not resolved, the seller will be removed.

Given the unique nature of art, if your purchase is significantly different from its description, inauthentic, does not arrive, or arrives damaged, we will work with you to find the best solution, including a full refund. In certain cases, a partial refund, restoration, or exchange may be the most appropriate resolution. Artviewings’ Guarantee protects transactions up to $100,000 USD

Authenticity Guarantee

Artviewings works with curated artists and galleries worldwide who are well respected and stand behind the authenticity of each item available for purchase. Artviewings offers our Authenticity Guarantee to address concerns regarding authenticity made within 180 days of purchase. Subject to the terms below, if an item purchased on Artviewngs is found to be inauthentic, the Artviewings Authenticity Guarantee will provide up to $100,000 to reimburse the purchase price and related shipping expenses for the item.

Authenticity Protection will cover:

Fake/fraudulent Works and unlicensed reproductions inaccurately listed as “By” the artist.
Works listed as “By” the artist, with a creation date within the artist’s lifetime, but were actually produced posthumously by the artist’s estate.
Gross misrepresentations which have a significant impact on the value of the work.

Authenticity Protection does not apply to other facts about the work (e.g. edition size, signature information, artwork size). In some cases, the author of a work may be unclear or difficult to ascertain with certainty, and sellers may list these items as “Attributed to” an artist (for example, “Attributed to Pablo Picasso.”) These attributions signal that there is uncertainty about the work’s author, and as such Artviewings’ Authenticity Protection does not cover them.

Price-Match Guarantee

We expect all our Artists and Gallery partners to update and keep the prices consistent all the time. If you discover the same item listed for less elsewhere, we'll match the price. This is just one of several features we offer as part of our Buyer Protection.

To be eligible for our Price-Match Guarantee, the item must meet the following criteria:

The exact same item is listed for sale by the same seller and advertised for a lower price on another platform
Artviewings has been informed of the price discrepancy within 7 calendar days of purchasing
The lower advertised price has been listed or advertised publicly. Verbal offers made on other platforms do not qualify
The lower advertised price must be documented in the form of a screenshot, active website listing, or photo of the advertised price
The lower advertised price cannot be a promotional, introductory, or limited sale offering on another platform

If your item meets all of the above requirements, please contact Artviewings support immediately and we will work directly with the seller on your behalf to deliver our Price-Match Guarantee.

Money-Back Guarantee

In the unlikely event that an item you purchase is significantly different than described, is damaged in transit or does not arrive, you may be eligible to receive a refund for your purchase up to $100,000, subject to the terms below.

Eligibility

YOUR PURCHASE IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE REFUND IF:

The order was placed online through our secure checkout
All order-related communication takes place on the Artviewings platform or is approved by Artviewings.
The item is significantly different than described, was damaged in transit or never arrives
The issue is reported to Artviewings within the reporting window:

Items not as described must be reported within 7 days of receipt
Items not received must be reported within 14 days of the latest expected delivery date
Items with authenticity concerns must be reported within 180 days of delivery
Any requested photographic evidence of the issue (including the artwork and the original packaging) is provided
All the internal and external packaging is saved in case needed for inspection in the event of an insurance claim.
If given the option, require a signature to receive your item.

To ensure fairness and timely resolution, please note that failure to report the damage within the reporting window or failure to provide requested evidence within seven days of our request will make your purchase ineligible for the Money-Back Guarantee refund.

YOUR PURCHASE IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE MONEY-BACK GUARANTEE REFUND IF:

You are seeking to return an item that was accurately described and not damaged in transit. (Note that in these cases, you may still be able to return the item if permitted under the seller’s stated return policy or, for EU-based buyers, in accordance with EU law and our User Agreement)
The work has slightly different coloring depending on the lighting
Details that are artistic or incidental to the making of the work, but may not be evident in artwork images (e.g. visible brushstrokes)
Slight differences in dimensions
The shipping company is delayed
Unpaid customs and duties or other charges that are the responsibility of the buyer
Issues with artworks not listed on your order confirmation
You elected to arrange your own shipping or retrieve the item in-person
You purchased the item in-store, over the phone or via email and not through Artviewings secure checkout
